The Bob Riley designed Wildcat Mk6 was the first ground effects Wildcat built. It was built in house by Patrick Racing fabricators Hal Sperb, Roger Beck and Alec Greaves. In pre-season testing, driver Gordon Johncock did not like it. Due to the pre-season testing results, it was decided not build anymore Mk6 models. Johncock drove it the opening race and that was it for him. Teammate Tom Bagely drove the car at Indianapolis, qualifying a respectable 13th, but retired early, being scored in 28th place. The car was raced in 4 more events during the 1980 season. It was then relegated to show car duty.

It is still in show car condition. It never raced in these colors. This is a good candidate for restoration. It fairly complete. It has a display engine and the Hewland LG500 gearbox is empty. Some of the exhaust is missing including the wastegate and the ignition system.
