The Truesports 91C is one of only a few Indy cars built in the United States since the 1970's. It was by engineer Don Halliday and assisted by aerodynamicist Gary Grossenbacher.


The Truesports 91C is one of only a few Indy cars built in the United States since the 1970's. It was by engineer Don Halliday and assisted by aerodynamicist Gary Grossenbacher. It was powered by the Judd AV engine and utilized a transverse Weismann gearbox. Scott Pruett drove this car for the 1991 season, his best results were 4th place finishes at Toronto and Mid-Ohio.
he Truesports project was purchased by Rahal Hogan Racing at the conclusion of the 1992 season. For 1993, Rahal Hogan removed the Judd AV engines and switched to the Ilmor Chevrolet 265Cengine. While finishing a promising 2nd place at Long both RH001's failed to qualify at Indianapolis. Mike Groff made 4 more appearances during the 1993, with his best finish being 11th at Portland. After the debacle at Indianapolis, the project was shelved.
Both cars are complete, running cars. The Rahal Hogan RH001 was originally powered by an Ilmor Chevrolet, now has a Judd V-8 engine. The spares that are included:
