Jerry Eisert built this car in 1969 for Marvin Webster of Webster gear fame. It seems Jerry Eisert was Webster's go to guy when ha wanted a car built. Like other Eisert cars, this was a dual purpose Indy Car and Formula 5000 car. It uses a 5 Liter Ford V-8 engine with Weber downdraft carburetors, coupled to a Hewland LG600 gearbox.
It made it's debut in April of that year at Hanford Speedway's California 200 Indy car race. It was a pretty debut, with driver Jim Malloy qualifying 15th and finishing 6th. Jerry Grant later drove it to 4th place at Continental Divide. It appeared a couple more times during the 1970 season. It's last race was 1971 SCCA Formula 5000 event at Seattle with Lothar Motsenbacher driving.
It remained in Webster's hands until it was purchased in 1987. It then underwent restoration by J&L Fabrications. It has seen some action in vintage events since coming out of restoration in 1988.
