Penske Racing Sunoco Eagle
This Penske Racing Sunoco Eagle Chevrolet was Penske Racing first entry into Indy Car Racing

This is where the Team Penske legacy of 20 Indy 500 wins began. It was humble beginning with this 1968 Eagle chassis #406 was powered by a Traco built Chevrolet engine. The team's driver Mark Donohue only drove this car in two races. Mosport where he finished 4th and the Rex Mays 300 at Riverside where the retired with a broken suspension. They used the car once more for a Goodyear tire test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was then sold and ended up with a long history. Since it's restoration it has made a couple of appearances at the Amelia Island Concours.
This is a complete, running car that has been restored to it's original configuration. The current Chevrolet engine produces 525 HP.
