The Penske PC25 was designed by Nigel Bennet for the 1996 season. It used an Ilmor Mercedes-Benz IC 108C engine and a 6 speed sequential gearbox. This was not a successful season for the Penske team. They won 3 poles but zero races wins. 2nd places finishes at Rio and Milwaukee would be their best showings with the PC25.
This particular car is PC25-07, it debuted in the final third of season. It's first race was at Michigan, where Al Unser Jr qualified 4th and finished 4th. That would be the best result of the 5 races this car ran in.
This car is mostly complete, including a FRESH, REBUILT Ilmor Mercedes-Benz IC 108C engine! It comes with no spares or support equipment. Missing are the following items:
Front anti-roll bar assembly
Instrument display
Windscreen
Seat
Safety harness
Fire bottle cover panel
Wiggins clamp for the compressor housing
