This car began as the Konstant Hot Special owned by Bruce Homeyer and prepared by Jud Phillips. Driver Roger McLuskey won the 1963 USAC Sprint Car Champioship in this car. Then it ended up in the hands Mickey Rupp of Rupp Manufacturing. Rupp was a legend in the go kart manufacturing industry and later manufactured snow mobiles. He drove this car in 19 races with his best being 2nd place at 1964 USAC sprint car race at Indianapolis Raceway Park
