This is a Lola T9100 chassis Hu26 was powered by a Ilmor Chevrolet 265A engine and originally delivered to Chip Ganassi Racing. It debuted in 1991 Indianapolis 500 driven by Eddie Cheever. He qualified 10th and retired in 31st due to an electrical malfunction.  This car made 8 more appearances during the 1991 season with it's best being 6th at Laguna Seca.

For 1992, the Ganassi team changed for Cosworth-Ford XB engines, and the car was used as a spare chassis for Cheever, and as a primary car for Robby Gordon in four of his races for the team.  Gordon’s best result in the car was 8th at Toronto.

Tim Duke’s Pro Formance Motorsports team bought the car for 1993, returned it to “Chevy” spec and ran four races with driver Scott Pruett.  His best results were 7th-place finishes at Phoenix and Long Beach.  In 1994, it became a show car and was purchased by American Honda.
In its current configuration, the car is painted to represent the #49 Honda-powered Brix Comptech Racing entry of Parker Johnstone as it appeared when he finished second at the Grand Prix of Long Beach in 1996. It is a rolling chassis with no engine, electronics, dampers, springs and with an empty gearbox.
