This is Lola Hu02, it is one of 3 cars Al Unser Jr used on his way to the 1990 CART Championship. Unlike it sister below Hu04, this car is in the condition that is shown in the photo. The restoration was completed in 2016. It is powered by an Ilmor 265A Chevrolet engine. This is not a project like Hu04 which is listed below.

Galles Racing used Hu02 in 6 races in 1990, scoring the first place trophies at the Long Beach Grand Prix and the Miller Genuine Draft 200 at Milwaukee. It later went to Hall-VDS Racing for the 1991 season. They only used it in one race, the Valvoline 200 at Phoenix. Driver John Andretti started 7th and finished 11th.

To make this championship winning car a runner, all that is needed is a fuel pump, ECU and transmission gears.
