Lola T616- Hu02 is powered by the Mazda 13B rotary engine. It was the Group C2 class winner at the 1984 24 Hrs. of Le Mans.
Lola T616- Hu02 is powered by the Mazda 13B rotary engine. The drivers were John Morton, John O'Steen and Yoshimi Katayama. It made it's debut in the 1984 Daytona 24 Hr, finishing in 17th place. It made one more IMSA start at Miami before going to Europe to compete in Group C2. Besides the class C2 win at Le Mans, it was raced in the 1000 Km events at Monza, Nurburgring and Fuiji.
In 1987, the car was acquired by Wonzer Racing. It made appearances at Sebring, Miami and Watkins Glen. In 1988, they ran the Daytona 24 Hr and the Sebring 12 Hr. It's final race was the 1989 Daytona 24 Hr.
