Lola T616 - Hu03 Ex- Jim Busby Racing Mazda 13B engine


This Busby Racing BFG Lola made it's debut in the 1984 Monza 1000 Km. It did only a total of 4 races that season. The other events were the 24 Hrs. of Le Mans, were it finished 3rd place in Group C2, Nurburgring 1000 Km and the Fuiji 1000Km. The drivers were Jim Busby, Boy Hayje, Rick Knoop.
The car did not compete in 1985 and was sold to Chicago Racing Enterprises for the 1986 season. It competed in 4 IMSA GTP races that year with a variety of drivers. Most notable was Chris Kneifel.
This car is an Aluminum monocoque car powered by a 1.3 Liter Mazda 13B engine and utilzes a 5 speed Hewland gearbox. It has been completely restored and would be an excellent car the Le Mans, Daytona and Sebring classic events.
