This is Lola T330 Hu19, it was purchased by Penske Racing in March 1973. It was bought to replace Hu5 which was destroyed in a garage fire.  Originally entered for the season's 3rd round at Michigan International Speedway, the car did not debut until the Mid-Ohio race. Most Formula 5000 competitors used the 5 Liter Chevrolet V-8 engine, this one was uniquely powered by an AMC V-8. Despite the weight disadvantage of the heavier AMC engine, Donohue and Penske Racing acquitted themselves very well. Scoring a couple of 2nd places at Road Atlanta and Seattle, they never finished below 6th place in the 6 races they ran in 1973. 

This car was later converted by Gerre Payvis to a single seat Can Am car.  He later was in the process of returning it to it's original configuration at the time of his passing. It has just come out of a 2 year, extensive restoration by the current. This is a complete, running car that was raced as recently as June 2026 in the SVRA event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
