This car is probably the last true A.J. Watson built cars. It does bare some resemblance to the Lightening. It made it's debut in the 1977 Indianapolis 500 with Tom Bigelow driving. Starting 22nd and finishing 6th was pretty respectable finish for a new car. Bigelow drove this car in 6 races that season and once more in 1978.In 1978 this car was driven by Sheldon Kinser scoring 4 top 10 finishes. Kinser stayed in this ride for 1979 for the 7 race USAC season. This car may have made a few appearances in 1980.
