This Watson is one of the two entries of the Ralph Wilke Family's Leader Card Racing Team. This car was driven by Len Sutton the other by race winner Rodger Ward. In qualifying, Sutton set a new one lap record of 149.900 MPH. Only to have it broken later in the day by Parnelli Jones at 150.729 MPH. Sutton would ultimately start 4th.
